Three cyclists will share tales of on and off-road adventures in the South West and around the world at a special lecture on Monday 30 November.
The Adventure Talk Series, hosted by the Institute for Outdoor Learning at the University of St Mark & St John Library Lecture Theatre, is an opportunity for cycling enthusiasts to hear from three individuals with a unique tale to tell about their relationships with bikes.
Talan George will share stories from a 10 month transcontinental adventure from the UK to Thailand on a self-built bike. Pat Dollard will give a talk entitled ‘The Road Ahead’ about a cycle tour from Cornwall across Europe up the Rhine and down the Danube to Romania.
In addition, Gareth Thomas will discuss the Plymouth Bikespace Project CIC, the mountain bike space under the Marshmills flyover and the off-road routes connecting Plymouth to Dartmoor, particularly the National Trust trail in Plymbridge Woods.
The evening starts at 19:30 and no booking is required.
