Two Jamaican visitors, Mr Garth Anderson, Principal and Dr Cecile Walden, Chair of Governors, (Church Teachers’ College, Jamaica) arrived at UCP Marjon to discuss a range of opportunities for collaboration, including the delivery of a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in both education and sport.
Our Jamaican colleagues were also acting on behalf of 8 similar institutions in Jamaica. It is also planned that UCP Marjon will deliver intensive workshops in the short term focused on our work in phonology, phonetics and phonics.
Ian Luke, Dean of Education, Health & Welfare commented:
‘We were delighted to host our Jamaican colleagues. It is always a pleasure to meet individuals who are as passionate as UCP Marjon are about education, sport and professional development. We are confident that this partnership will flourish.’
