Staff and students at the University of St Mark & St John have organized a series of Memory Cafés in collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Society. The café provides a safe and welcoming environment for people with memory problems (for example, people in the early stages of dementia), along with their carers. Over 18 student volunteers from the university are involved with the setting up and running of the café.
Visitors are most welcome to join us for social companionship, information and a range of interesting and stimulating activities, based on individual preferences. The Memory Café will meet fortnightly on the following dates:
- Wednesday 23 Oct 1.30 – 3.30
- Wednesday 6 Nov 1.30 – 3.30
- Wednesday 20 Nov 1.30 – 3.30
- Wednesday 4 Dec 1.30 – 3.30
No booking necessary. On arrival, please make your way to the main reception, where you will be greeted by one of our many volunteers.
