Two NQT Career Fair Events in January and February saw over 150 students meet with recruiters who were promoting job opportunities in London and the South West.
There were representatives from Newham, Luton, Waltham Forrest and schools from London through the London Diocese.
Donna Whitley, Education and Social Science Employability Co-ordinator, said: “These recruitment events were a great success and I was delighted that so many students attended and networked with the guests. The feedback from students was extremely valuable and has helped shape next year’s event.
“Many students have already been proactive and made contact with some of the schools, both locally and in London so this is a great time for them to seize all opportunities.”
Supply+ supported students together with the Karen Menis, Head at Shakespeare school and the Head from Weston Mill, Alison Nettleship, who gave students advice on writing job applications and how to stand out from the crowd during interview.
At a second event a Head Teacher from Carbeile Junior School, Torpoint came along to promote four vacancies available from September 2015.
