Plymouth Argyle Football Club and Plymouth Albion Rugby Football Club use UCP Marjon as a centre for sporting excellence

UCP Marjon Sport and Plymouth Argyle Football Club continue to work in partnership with Argyle’s pre-season training being based at UCP Marjon for the third successive summer. Argyle players and coaching staff will be using the state of the art sports facilities at UCP Marjon throughout July and August including the grass pitches, fitness suite, gymnasium , sports halls and therapy room.

Director of Sport, Stan Cinnamond said ‘We are delighted to host the Plymouth Argyle squad yet again for pre-season training. We hope that the squad benefits from the wide range of sports facilities at their disposal on campus and that this helps them throughout the forthcoming league campaign’.

Argyle manager Carl Fletcher said: "UCP Marjon is a recognised Centre of Excellence in Sport, and we are delighted to again be working with them in preparation for the new season.

"We have trained there every summer since I have been with Argyle, which tells you all you need to know about how highly we value the partnership. We are extremely grateful for their assistance and support, and the use of their marvellous facilities.

"As we have said before, it is a partnership which makes perfect sense - for the team, for UCP Marjon, for the city of Plymouth, and for the continued development of sport in this region."
