August is another BIG month for the University and we get off to a sparkling start.
The University of St Mark & St John is delighted to be a joint sponsor of the 2014 British Fireworks Championships which have been taking place in Plymouth Sound since 1997.
The University shares sponsorship for the 18th national fireworks championships with the city’s daily newspaper The Herald.
The popular annual evening event lights up the city’s world-famous waterfront to spectacular effect over two nights every mid-August (12th and 13th) as well as attracting thousands of visitors to Britain’s Ocean City. Emma Hewitt, Head of Marketing & Communications said “We are thrilled to be supporting Plymouth City Council in hosting the BIGGEST firework display. Residents and visitors alike are very welcome to visit our gazebo on Plymouth Hoe for some entertaining freebies and to find out more about the University’s 100+ degree courses. With A-level results also firing out the same week, prospective students can also drop into our BIG Open Day & Results Drop-in to find out how you can study with us, this September or next.”
Almost as soon as the last rocket falls out of the sky, the University will once again open its doors to potential students for our second BIG Open Day of the summer on Saturday August 16 starting at 10.30am.
The University is seeking to build on the BIG success of our first BIG Open Day earlier this summer.
