The University of St Mark & St John (Marjon) have renewed their successful collaboration with the Argyle team for another season. PAFC will have access to training facilities such as the gym, grass pitches, sports therapy centre and sports science lab at the Marjon Plymouth campus while training for the 2013/14 season.
Stan Cinnamond, Director of Sport commented:” As the centre for sporting excellence we are delighted to renew this partnership. The new foundation degree in Football Coaching and Development also cements our strengthened collaboration with the football club and really puts us on the map for providing state of the art facilities and support to both students and sports teams in the city. We will also continue to work with Plymouth Albion Rugby Football Club and have plans to broaden our relationships with professional teams across the county and throughout the UK.”
Argyle Chief Executive Martyn Starnes said: “We are delighted that our partnership with the University of St Mark & St John continues to go from strength to strength. To be able to make use of the superb facilities at Marjon is of huge importance to our preparations. The relationship between the city’s leading sports club and the University, with its top-class sporting amenities, is vitally important to both parties and for the city.”
