Released: 23.01.13

Since 1998 speech-language-therapy dot com has provided information and resources to consumers, Speech-Language Pathologists/Speech and Language Therapists and students worldwide. The content reflects the professional, clinical, teaching and research activities of the site owner Caroline Bowen who has special interests in children's speech sound disorders and the role of families in intervention. The site was voted Best Teacher Blog in the 2012 Edublog Awards.

Every month since June 1998 Speechwoman has selected a speech-language pathology/speech and language therapy related site of the month.  UCP Marjon have been awarded the “Site of the Month” accolade this January for its Phonetic and Phonological Systems Analysis (PPSA).  The PPSA is a tool designed by Dr Sally Bates (UCP Marjon) and Dr Jocelynne Watson (Queen Margaret University) to aid a straightforward and linguistically principled organisation of phonetically transcribed speech data.
