University choir to sing at Chester Cathedral

Released: 26.02.15

The University of St Mark & St John Choir will perform at the Cathedrals Group Choirs Festival at Chester Cathedral this Saturday 28 February.

Our student choir of 13 voices will sing Bill Wither’s ‘Lean on Me’ in their performance, before joining a massed choir of around 300 who will sing Hayden’s Maria Theresa Mass in B for choir.

Christopher Luckett, Chaplaincy Assistant at the University of St Mark & St John, said: “We are thrilled as always to be taking part in the Cathedrals Group Choirs Festival as Chester University celebrates its 175th Anniversary.”

The choir has been singing together for 20 years and meets every Wednesday in the Chaplaincy at 5.00pm.
