The University of St Mark & St John has rocketed up an incredible 31 places in the Sunday Times 2014 Good University Guide making the University of St Mark & St John the 2nd most improved university out of 121 UK universities.
Indeed it is fitting that during this week of celebrating the award of University Title, the Times League Table has ranked the University of St Mark & St John as 4th in the UK for Teaching Quality (above Cambridge, Exeter and Oxford).
The Vice-Chancellor Professor Cara Aitchison said: “I am absolutely delighted by this independent evaluation which goes to show that smaller universities can punch well above their weight. We have done so by putting students firmly at the heart of everything we do. The student experience at our University is distinctive in that we ensure that the teaching quality is consistently high and that we also know our students by name not number”.
To find out more about Professor Aitchison’s ambitions for the future direction of University of St Mark and St John, the public are warmly invited to attend the Thanksgiving Service and inauguration of the first ever Vice-Chancellor on Wednesday 2nd October at St Andrews Church Royal Parade at 2pm. There is no need to register for this event and further details can be found on our website www.marjon.ac.uk
