University of St Mark & St John is hosting a special warm-up walk ahead of July’s St Luke’s Hospice Midnight Walk for Women.
The warm-up, which will be led by personal trainers from the University Sports Centre will start – at a leisurely pace – at 7.00pm on Thursday June 19.
Sports Centre manager Simon White said: “The most popular route on the Midnight Walk tends to be seven miles so we think that three miles is the perfect warm-up distance.”
“As the centre for sporting excellence, the University is delighted to be hosting these events and we would encourage the people of Plymouth to get their walking shoes on and come and join us!”
The warm-up walk will cover three miles of the Midnight Walk course and is open to all.
This year’s annual St Luke’s Hospice Midnight Walk is on Saturday July 19 and all routes – three, seven and 15 miles – will start and finish at the University Sports Centre.
