Orange Prize short-listed author Monique Roffey is set to visit the University of St Mark & St John.
Roffey – whose fifth novel House of Ashes has just been published by Simon and Schuster – will launch the new Visiting Writers Series of lectures at the University Library Lecture Theatre next Tuesday, October 7 at 6.30pm.
Last year Roffey won the OCM Bocas Prize for Caribbean Literature for her fourth novel, Archipelago.
University of St Mark & St John programme Leader for Creative Writing and English Literature Hayden Gabriel said: “It is with great pleasure, I announce the first Visiting Writer of the new academic year will be Monique Roffey.”
Admission to the Visiting Writer Series is FREE but seat reservation is required.
