Wurzels to play Farmyard Freshers Ball

Released: 15.10.15

Westcountry stalwarts, the Wurzels, will return to the University for this year's annual Freshers Ball on October 23.

The Wurzels are a country band from Somerset best known for their number one hit 'The Combine Harvester' and number three hit 'I Am A Cider Drinker' in 1976.

Charlotte Hook from the Marjon Student Union said: "We have invited the Wurzels back as they don’t seem to take themselves too seriously which always goes down with the sense of humour of students here at Marjon, who are always keen for a laugh."

Tickets are on sale at Marjon Student Union (open 11:00 - 14:00).
