Role Summary

I hold responsibility for institutional and academic governance, legal and compliance, student related administration, academic administration and quality assurance. I am also the institutional lead for Data Protection, Freedom of Information, Prevent, Risk Assurance and hold a key position shaping the institution’s internal audit agenda. I’m also the primary regulatory link with the sector’s regulator, the Office for Students, and serve as Company Secretary.

I sit on the University's Executive Leadership Team, in addition to attending various other groups including Senate; Academic Strategy, Planning and Partnerships Committee; Board of Governors; Audit Committee; Governance and Nominations Committee. From a governance perspective I am Secretary to both the Board of Governors and Senate.

I have over 25 years of experience in Higher Education administration and governance, providing leadership in planning, organising and managing student focused delivery at a variety of institutions in both the public and private sectors. Before arriving at Marjon, I served as an Academic Registrar at Hult International Business School, in London, where I had responsibility for delivering high quality, customer-focused services that were positioned to meet changing student expectations. Prior to this I held professional governance, policy and student record keeping roles for the University of London, the British Museum, the London School of Economics and the University of Cambridge.
