University College Plymouth St Mark & St John

Introduction

UCP Marjon's Principal - Professor Margaret Noble - chairs the Diversity Working Group at the University College (UC).  The Diversity Working Group plays an active part in delivering the commitment within its mission to "... providing high quality, holistic, enabling and supporting learning, teaching and research opportunities to meet the needs of individuals, groups, the region and beyond..." by ensuring that the UC's activities take full account of good practice in the area of Equality and Diversity, as well as ensuring the UC meets its legislative requirements.

However responsibility for good practice in equality and diversity is the responsibility of all of our community and we hope that you will find UCP Marjon to be an inclusive and fair place.  If you struggle with any aspect of UCP Marjon's facilities or services as a student, as a member of staff or as a visitor please contact us to let us know how we can improve (ltout@marjon.ac.uk).

On these pages of the website, you will find our Equality & Diversity Scheme which directs us in our equality work covering all of the protected characteristics covered by equality legislation.  The Scheme is co-ordinated and managed by the Diversity Working Group who also report regularly on progress made and are responsible for publishing our Annual Equalities Report.
