Level 4 Certificate Professional Studies (Leadership and Management)
Introduction
This ILM accredited programme of study aims to give potential or practising managers the foundation for their formal academic and professional development in this role. The qualification does this by exploring the manager responsibilities, developing the managing people skills needed in such a role and also to prepare learners for the more rigorous demands of study at a higher education level.
You do not need to be currently working in management role but should possess a keen motivation to professionally develop your knowledge and skills within a management capacity.

Module Information
- Understanding the Management Role
To appreciate the nature of the line and middle manager roles and their ability to perform effectively within them
- Financial Management and Decision Making
To develop knowledge, understanding and interpretation of financial information within the context of an organisation and as required by a practising or potential line / middle manager
- Work Based Study
To undertake research and compilation of a work based project report upon a pervasive topic within an organisation such as use of appraisal in performance management, value of coaching and mentoring, leadership and change management process, purpose and content of management development programme etc.
Fees and Funding
60 credit Award (i.e. all 3 Modules) £1200 and 20 week duration, plus ILM registration and certification cost.
An optional 2 day academic skills package to develop referencing and research skills can be undertaken at an additional cost of £200.
