Welcome to Student Counselling & Well-being

Student Counselling & Well-being are available when there’s something personal that’s bothering you that you wish to explore and perhaps resolve.  Should you encounter difficulties that affect your studies, and/or your life whilst you are here, for example:

  • Homesickness 
  • Relationship problems
  • Loneliness     
  • Stress
  • Dealing with transition   
  • Anxiety      
  • Depression
  • Self confidence    
  • Trauma

The service is confidential and independent of the other administrative and academic structures of UCP Marjon.

Our service provides:

A ‘drop in’ service each day where a counsellor is always available to speak with you about things for a short appointment and/or where you can book a longer appointment

1-1 counselling for personal issues that are troubling you

Close collaboration with Academic Skills & Advice, Careers, Finance & Welfare, and the Disability & Inclusion Advice Service where appropriate and referrals to other professionals and outside agencies when needed

Where are we:

Located in the Quad area between the Dining Hall and Chapel

Enquiries and Appointments:

Come to a ‘DROP IN SESSION’ any weekday between 10.00 – 11.00am, when you can be seen for 10 minutes and may be offered a further full appointment

Fill in an appointment slip and put it in the ‘Message Box’ in the centre

Leave a message on the answering machine and we will respond as soon as we can
