The Library is changing its computer management system during August and went live with the new product on 9th August. The Library catalogue will still be available but it may look different during August as updates and alterations are made. You will be unable to renew books online or to place reservations if you have overdue books or if you owe fines. Please phone the Library counter on 01752 761145 or email libraryenquiries@marjon.ac.uk to renew/reserve items in these circumstances. We apologise for the inconvenience but hope you will find the searches on the updated catalogue more comprehensive and easier to use. You will be able to check your account, renew items online and view books you have previously borrowed. Please note all PINs have been changed to a default of CHANGEME, so you will need to use this the first time you access your account. We recommend you change your PIN as soon as possible.

Overdue email reminders may not be available during August but will be operational again from September, including a pre-overdue service. Overdue notices will be emailed 1 day before items are due back, l day after items due back, 8 days after items are due back and 22 days after items are due back. If you have not contacted the Library during this time you will receive a billing notice from the Library 29 days after an item has become overdue. In shortening the time when you receive a billing from us we hope to stop excessive fines accruing on items you may have overlooked. Please be aware that the overdue notices provide only a courtesy service, you are responsible for returning and renewing all items on your account by the date due.

E-books service from the Library

The Library subscribes to an e-book platform called MyiLibrary, and we have an increasing collection of e-books available, and these are all listed on the Library catalogue. The e-books are available from anywhere with internet access, and do not form part of your book allowance - so you can have you full book allowance checked out and still be able to access e-books. You can print, copy and paste parts of the e-books as well as include excerpts in coursework, essays, presentations and dissertations. To start using the e-books please visit the MyiLibraryplatform. There is a helpguide listed on the Library section of Learning Space to show you how to log in and search the e-books. For more information please visit our e-book webpage
