UCP Marjon Sport and Leisure are pleased to announce that the construction of the new sports centre has now commenced

The Centre will be expanded by nearly 900sq m to an impressive 6253sq m, with nearly 4000sq m being entirely new build.  The new centre will include a refurbished 25m, 5 lane swimming pool, a new 12 court sports hall, gymnasium, 90 station fitness room, sports injury clinic, sports science lab, indoor climbing wall and a café.  In addition, we’ll be retaining the existing outdoor sport pitches.

A one million pound refurbishment of student accommodation will be completed with the arrival of the new first years in 2009. These will give better social areas and improvements in facilities including more energy efficient boiler systems and water saving devices. All the rooms have been re-painted, re-carpeted and include new kitchens, dining rooms and furniture.

Security has also been improved with the addition of new doors on all accommodation.

A quality institution requires quality facilities.  Here at UCP Marjon we provide a range of facilities for our staff, students and the wider community.  Although extensive, we recognise the need for constant investment to ensure we provide the best experience for all those who visit our campus. 

To achieve this, we are about to undertake an impressisve multi-million pound capital investment project which will see further development and refurbishment across the site as part of our 'Master Plan' to ensure we serve our community not only for today but for the future
