WELCOME TO UCP MARJON CHAPLAINCY - at the heart of the University College
We are here to help you
(For a copy of the Chaplaincy Mission Statement see below)
We are here for every member of the University College community regardless of who you are, what your background is, or whether you have faith. We can help if you are looking for a place of worship, general information about the University College, advice, a listening ear, a place to explore faith, practical help or just a place to meet new friends.
The Chaplaincy Team consists of the Chaplain, Paul, aided by two Chaplaincy Assistants, Alison and Chris and several Student Chaplaincy Assistants.
Our work is governed by four marks -
Fellowship - A sense of fellowship and belonging is very important to us. Food, services, social activities and trips away mean that Chaplaincy is a great place to make new and lasting friendships.
Support - Whether you belong to a religious tradition or not, the staff at the Chaplaincy are available for you. If you would like to see the Chaplain or a Chaplaincy Assistant confidentially, just ring or drop in. If we can't see you right away we will make an appointment. (For a copy of the Chaplaincy Confidentiality statement see below)
Worship - For those seeking to deepen their own faith, or to discover what it means to be a Christian, the Chaplaincy offers a variety of worship services. See the The Chaplaincy Centre page for more details.
Prayer - There are always people at the Chaplaincy who will be pleased to pray for, or with, you. A Prayer Request Book and a Prayer Board can be found in the Chapel. The daily round of Morning and Evening Prayer (8.30am & 5.00pm) is an essential part of the rhythm of the Chaplaincy Centre.
A selection of Fairtrade snacks and drinks are available to purchase in the Marshall Room!
