Academic Search Complete - This is a multi-disciplinary database which covers all aspects of academic study. Its very user friendly and is almost entirely full-text.

British Library Sounds - this is an database of audio clips, managed by the British Library. There are over 12,000 recordings of music, spoken word, and human and natural environments.
Business Source Premier - This business database provides full text access to more than 2,300 journals, including full text for more than 1,100 peer-reviewed titles. The rich collection of titles in Business Source Premier provides information dating back to 1985. More than 10,100 substantial company profiles from Datamonitor are also included. This database is updated on a daily basis. Users will be required to log in to this database using your network user name and password. This database will also automatically be searched when using the Discovery Search Box on the Library Home Page.
CERUKplus (Current Educational Research in the UK) - A freely accessible database covering all phases of education from early years to adults, including a wide range commissioned research and PhD level theses. Please note that this is a static database and is no longer updated. Need help? Have a look at the CERUK helpguide (.pdf).
Communication & Mass Media Complete - a major database covering all areas of media, communication and other closely related fields. Offers full-text access to over 450 journals.

Digital Theatre Plus - provides access to documentaries, interviews, study guides and resources for all aspects of the play making process from rehearsal room, dressing room, backstage and beyond. To log on you need to click on the 'Sign in' button, select 'University of St Mark and St John' from the drop down menu on the right hand side of the page, click on 'Sign in with my institution' and enter your network username and password at the next screen.
EDINA Digimap Service - This is an online service that allows users to view and create maps of any location in great Britain using Ordnance Survey map data. For further details please contact Tony Atkin.
Education Research Complete (ERC) - a comprehensive educational database, covering topics including all levels of education from early childhood to higher education, and all educational specialties, such as multilingual education, health education, and testing. EThOS - EThOS is the UK’s national thesis service which aims to maximise the visibility and availability of the UK’s doctoral research theses. The aim is to provide free access to as many theses as possible for use by researchers to further their own research. Of approximately 380,000 records relating to theses awarded by over 120 institutions around 120,000 provide access to the full text theses, either downloadable from EThOS or via links to the institution’s own repository. Of the remaining records many are available to be ordered through the EThOS digitisation on-demand facility - please contact email@example.com for further information relating to this service. Records are held for all UK PhD-awarding institutions but not all records for all institutions are held yet. Approximately 3000 new records are added each month and an additional 2000 full text theses become accessible. Access routes are determined by each institution.
Film & TV Literature Index with Full Text - this database covers all aspects of film & television research, including theory, production, screenwriting and technical aspects, plus movie reviews from Variety dating back to 1914. Landmap - This site gives access to digital satellite imagery and digital elevation maps of the UK. This database now includes Mediterranean data comprising satellite imagery of Spain and Cyprus. You need to register with the site before you can download data. Please be warned that the data volumes are very large and can require specialist interpretation. Medline - Provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences and much more. It is created by the National Library of Medicine. Medline contains journal citations and abstracts for biomedical literature from around the world with links to full text articles when possible. Science Direct Journals Freedom Collection:
A full list of titles can be viewed here. Full text journal access goes back to 1995. All journal titles appear in the Library Journals A-Z and are seamlessly searchable within the Library Discovery gateway.
Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature - scientific journals, books and conference proceedings. It provides a comprehensive overview of the world's research output in the fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences and arts and humanities.

SocIndex - A comprehensive sociology research database. It includes all areas of sociology, including social behaviour, human tendencies, interaction, relationships, community development, culture and social structure. SportDevelopment.info - a database of sport and physical activity resources. This can only be accessed via Learning Space, so when you click on the link you will be directed to LS; you must log in to LS, and you will then be taken to the Library 'Other resources' section - there is a link to SportDevelopment.info in that section. You will then need to register with your Marjon email address. These measures are in place due to publisher licensing restrictions.
SportDiscus Full Text - Offers bibliographic coverage of literature in the fields of sport, sports medicine, exercise psychology, biomechanics, psychology, training, coaching, physical education and fitness and other related disciplines. Subject coverage is from 1993 to present and is updated daily by the British Library.
