Copyright FAQs

Question: Can I make copies from material published by UK government departments / Crown Copyright material?

Material published by central government departments is Crown copyright. Crown copyright is covered by our CLA licence and copies can be made subject to the licence restrictions. Crown Copyright lasts for 50 years from the end of the first year of publication for published works, or 125 years or until 31st December 2039 for unpublished works.
