Staff training

Digital Innovation offers group sessions or one-to-one sessions for staff in using Microsoft Office software. We also offer support in using Terminal 4 Site Manager and using Google Apps. Sessions are regularly advertised on the Staff Newsletter.

We are currently running taught sessions for the ECDL and ECDL Advanced qualification - details are posted weekly on the Staff Newsletter.

If you require training or support in a specific topic, contact us and we will arrange to deliver a training or one-to-one session.

All courses delivered at our unit are free to all staff members; however if you wish to achieve a vocational qualification you must apply for Staff Development (SD1) funding to cover the cost of registration and exams. If you don't wish to take an exam, that is perfectly fine; you can just attend the free sessions to update your IT skills!

Staff Development Funding

All staff must complete an SD1 form to obtain approval prior to starting their course. However all staff are welcome to attend a free taster session to ascertain which course would be most suitable for them.

If you are unsure of the procedure please refer to the Human Resources section on the Staff Intranet or contact HR on ext 3075.
