Digital Skills IT Training & Support is the University’s open learning unit which is conveniently located next to the 24-hour computer room.

How can you help me?

Specific help is available for:

  • Setting up your dissertation template
  • Formatting your dissertation
  • Logging on and using the online Password Reset Manager
  • Navigating LearningSpace
  • Wireless help and configuration
  • Re-directing your marjon e-mail to another email address
  • Using Microsoft Office applications
  • Creating online questionnaires using Survey Monkey/Google forms

Free IT Support and Training

Training and support is also available for Microsoft Office applications:

  • Word
  • Excel - formulae and functions
  • Excel - creating graphs and charts/analysis
  • PowerPoint -  presentations and posters
  • Access database
  • Desktop Publishing
  • Microsoft Outlook and Calendars

Receive a recognised IT qualification

In addition, we can help you work towards and gain nationally/internationally recognised IT qualifications. Go to our courses page to view the full list of qualifications available.

The training for these accredited awards is free, but you will have to pay the exam fee for each modular exam undertaken.

IT Training Workshops

We regularly advertise IT Training workshops on the Hub. Students are welcome to book and attend these sessions or request a training workshop on a specific subject.
