University achieves 91% in National Student Survey

Released: 13.08.13

The University’s outstanding student experience has been given the thumbs up by students in the 2013 NSS. Students awarded the University 91% for overall satisfaction. This result is 6% above the national average and represents a 4% improvement for the University on its 2012 result. Professor Cara Aitchison, Vice-Chancellor, commended the staff and Students’ Union for their total commitment to the University’s students. She said, ‘We have an excellent reputation for the quality of the student experience we provide. This is down to the dedication of our staff, small class sizes, high class contact time, one-to-one tutorials and our excellent facilities and services all based on a single campus that has benefitted from a major investment in recent years. We’re delighted with the results but will continue to improve the offer to students through, among other initiatives, our new approaches to employability’.
