Role Summary

As Chief Operating Officer and Finance Director I am proud to provide the financial leadership to ensure our University continues to excel and grow whilst managing risk and resources in a safe environment.

I have a broad and interesting portfolio with a strong management team delivering finance, procurement, IT & digital services whilst manging risk and business compliance to maintain a safe and healthy university environment. I have a variety of experience of working at a strategic level, leading change to deliver organisational cross cutting projects and commercial projects.

Chartered Accountant with national honours (Chartered Institute of Public Finance Accountants)
PG Certificate in Enterprise Leadership (Plymouth University)
Business Analyst
Prince2 Project Manager (Practitioner)

I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, qualifying with national honours.

Roles on external bodies

I am a member of the British Universities Finance Directors Group and sit on the Learning and Development Committee.

Other Interests

In my spare time I am a keen landscape and nature photographer, enjoy walking over Dartmoor and along the coast and an avid supporter of Plymouth Albion Rugby Club. I also enjoy being creative with cooking, painting watercolours and DIY.
