You will be allowed to tailor your studies towards your own professional objectives and hopefully have a lot of fun along the way.
The programme comprises four taught modules and an honours project. With the university you will study the psychological effects of sound and music and also explore innovative practices used in music production. With dBs Music you will undertake modules which allow you to pursue your own passion, working towards an industry focused public showcase event, designed to show the world how amazing you are and what you’re capable of.
Aside from the obvious creative opportunities offered to music practitioners, there is a myriad of other career paths associated with music production, ranging from sound engineers and designers, managers and entrepreneurs through to those who continue an academic career at postgraduate level.
This course is co-taught by Andy Visser and Dr Tim Sayer. Between them, your course leaders possess decades of industry experience, having worked for some of the biggest names in music production. Dr Sayer is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and Andy Visser is a senior lecturer in media and creative arts.
