12 week SKE courses in French and in Spanish will run from 1 June to 20 August 2020, having been awarded funding for another year by the Department for Education. The programme is unique in that it is:
Our SKE courses are fully funded. You should not need to pay tuition fees and participants will get a net bursary of £200 per week. These courses are open to anyone who has secured a place on an MFL Teacher Training Course for the academic year 2020–21, at Plymouth Marjon University, or elsewhere.
The course is taught over June, July and August, allowing you to have a 2 week break before the very rewarding PGCE year. It involves intensive study which will:

Language teachers usually teach two languages in their school and a SKE course equips you with the subject knowledge to teach an additional language, which will increase your employment prospects. You can now complete two fully funded SKE courses to refresh your main teaching language and to study another language. Your training provider will decide the length of each SKE course you may need.
