Fitness Class FAQ

I'm new, how do I book a class?
You will need to fill in our membership form. Once you have been added on to our membership system you can book up to 7 days in advance for classes.

I'm new to classes, will they work me very hard?
All classes are for mixed ability and you work at your pace. Instructors will encourage but not push participants.

Can I just turn up and book on to a class?
To ensure a place on the class it is advisable to book.

What do I need to wear?
Comfortable sport clothing and trainers. Swim wear is required for the Aqua Aerobic class

Do I need to bring anything for a class?
A towel and some water is advised and a mat if you prefer to use your own

Do I need to pay for parking?
There is no charge to park your car but you will need to register your car registration at reception when paying/registering for the class if you are a Pay as you go member.

I have a few medical conditions can I still attend classes?
Yes. You are required to fill out a health questionnaire at the same time you fill out a membership form. It is advised that you inform the instructor at the start of the class of any medical conditions or injuries you may have. The instructor may adapt the exercises for you if they feel it is in your best interest.

What happens if I need to cancel the class?
We require 6 hours’ notice so as not to incur a charge. Classes can be cancelled over the phone 01752 636876

Do you offer discounts for two friends to attend the same class?
No but we do offer a gym swim and class membership

I am a Direct Debit member and I had a charge on my account to say I didn’t turn up for a class, but I did?
If a member does not register/sign in for a class they have booked on arrival or if they cancel with less than 6 hours’ notice, the membership system will automatically add a charge to a members account

Why can’t I book in to a class when I have arrears on my account?
This is to avoid members building up a debt on their account. Once you have paid the debt you can be booked on to the class.

Can I book a friend in?
It is the responsibility of the member to book themselves in to avoid possible errors. Classes can be booked over the telephone during our opening hours.
