Camp programme

13th - 18th August 2017

Cost £350 Residential or £280 non residential

All camp attendees will be expected arrive between 12-3pm. Sunday evening all the players will be assessed and placed into groups/teams for the duration of the camp. Each group will have a designated lead coach for the duration of the camp.

Monday - Wednesday - Following breakfast daily coaching starts at 9am finishing at 9.30pm. The sessions are very intense delivered to the highest standard by all the coaches. Each player will receive a camp report on the Thursday evening as part of the camp presentations.

Thursday - Tournament day with all the teams will compete in a tournament against balanced teams to ensure a highly competitive tournament.

Presentation - during the evening of the final day there will be a camp presentation to celebrate all the progress and success of the players and coaches.

Friday - On the morning of departure there is a mini 3v3 competition held in the sports hall with departure at 12noon.

Camp coaches

Coaches

All the coaches are hand picked by Head Coach Dr Laszlo Nemeth who is a former GB & England Head Coach. With coaching experience across the world Dr Nemeth is one of the most highly respected and experienced coaches. His Basketball philosophy mirrors the European style of play, tough defence, fast breaks and long range shooting.

Gustavo Pietro

Gustavo is a regular to the Eurocamp staff. His 23 years of experience developing basketball talent speaks for itself. Former head of development at the world famous Real Madrid and part of the coaching staff of the Spanish National Team winning a bronze medal in the world championships.

Gyongyi Zsolnay

Gyongyi is an ex Hungarian International who has 110 camps for her country at senior level and a four times Hungarian champion and cup winner, and a Euroleague bronze medal winner. Gyongyi is a well known and respected development coach currently working for the Oakland Academy in the UK. Gyongyi is also an author of the book 'throw to the basket' produced for young players.

Basketball Courts

The camp will have sole use of the sports hall which has 3 sprung basketball courts side by side. The facilities are also used by BBL Plymouth Raiders who train at the University during their season.

Our city is packed with character and charm which camp attendees should explore before or after the camp has finished. With transport links by road and rail, Plymouth Marjon University is easily accessible to those travelling to the camp and onsite parking is available.

Accommodation

The camp will be using onsite accommodation adjacent to the sports centre. All residential camp attendees will have their own personal room with access to a communal space, toliets, shower & bathrooms. 

Food 

All meals will be provided using the University canteen located only a 100m from the halls of residence. Any camp attendee with particular dietary requirements will also be catered for, given enough notice. In addition to the set meals there is also a convenience shop and a additional cafe within the sports centre which can be used during the day.
