English Level 2 Functional Skills Qualification
The Level 2 English Functional Skills is equivalent to an English GCSE at Grades A to C. The University of St Mark & St John will accept the Level 2 English Functional Skills for students who do not hold a GCSE qualification in English at Grades A to C.
Please note that this qualification is not suitable/accepted for initial teacher training programmes or swift funded programmes.
What does the qualification entail?
You will be required to pass three exams to achieve the full qualification:

You can take the exams at any accredited testing centre for English Functional Skills. Below are details of two training providers who offer testing and training facilities:
