Your students

We believe that it's important for students to be equipped with the skills and tools for effective research at an early stage of their studies, giving them the confidence to apply it to all areas of their academic life.

We offer the following help to students:

  • A tour of the Library, where to find resources and how to take items out.
  • How to find items using the catalogue.
  • Introduction to Electronic Resources: Discovery, E-books, E-journals, databases.
  • Effective internet searching and how to evaluate information.
  • Practical, hands-on workshops to practice using our systems.
  • Managing your research and documents, using Mendeley.

Sessions can be tailored to suit your student's aims and time-commitments. Please contact our User Education Librarian Steve Gunard using the details below to discuss how we can best support your students.
