Susan Hill

Role Summary

Susan studied Graphic Design at Arts University Plymouth and worked in London and Yorkshire as a designer before discovering a passion for Marketing. Following a number of Marketing roles predominantly in the Tourism & Leisure sector and the completion of a CIM Diploma at Marjons, Susan was head-hunted by Weststar Holidays and worked on the Board as Marketing Director alongside Deborah Meaden.

Susan left to pursue a consultancy career, including interim roles for Vicitor Chandler International in Gibraltar and Singapore, managing a budget of over £10m for this £1bn turnover firm and as Operations Manager for People Tree Fair Trade Fashion in London.

Shortly after a move back to Devon Susan took on the role of Strategic Marketing Director at the Award Winning Eden Project leading all campaigns and the successful Green Talent programme that engaged over 10,000 young people in environmental issues.

To fit around family life, Susan returned to consultancy and has since worked for a wide variety of clients including: Theatre Royal Plymouth, Kew Gardens, Wakehurst Place, Eden Project, the Big Lunch, The Great Big Walk, Crealy Adventure Parks, Wake the Tiger, Kneehigh Theatre and The Wave.

Susan is still providing Marketing and Business Consultancy today and is currently working on the feasibility for a new visitor experience in Wales, a Community Farm, for the Invisible Circus and Wildworks Theatre. Susan is excited that her marketing journey is returning to Marjon and very much looking forward to working with the students at this stage of their studies.
