Acclimation helps your body adjust to tough environments for better performance and comfort. Heat acclimation improves sweating, skin blood flow, and lowers heart rate, allowing you to exercise longer without overheating. Altitude acclimation enhances red blood cell production and breathing efficiency, helping you cope with lower oxygen levels at high elevation. Together, these adaptations boost endurance and help you perform at your best in varied conditions.

Booking a heat and altitude acclimation session provides realistic preparation by simulating challenging environmental conditions such as extreme heat, cold, or high altitude before competition or travel. Through performance testing, we evaluate how your body responds to these stresses during controlled activity, allowing you to understand your individual adaptation profile. This process supports improvements in thermoregulation, fatigue resistance, and overall readiness to perform in unfamiliar climates. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to develop and refine practical strategies for hydration, pacing, and cooling, ensuring you are optimally prepared to face environmental challenges and gain a competitive edge.
Please note: throughout the session, students will be conducting the tests whilst supervised by staff. You are directly supporting our mission to provide students with valuable, real-world experience.
“The team were very knowledgeable and made the experience clear and straightforward. This experience not only got my body physically ready to race in the heat but also taught me how exercising in the heat felt. I used this knowledge during the race I was preparing for.”
