A lactate threshold test provides valuable insight into how your body handles increasing exercise demands. During the assessment, the intensity of your workout gradually rises while small blood samples are taken to measure lactate levels – a by-product produced by your muscles when working hard. The test pinpoints the exact moment when lactate begins to accumulate faster than your body can clear it. Understanding this threshold allows you to customise your training, improving endurance and enabling you to sustain higher effort levels for longer without fatigue. We offer this test on either a treadmill, bike or rower.

“The students that helped during my test were professional, organised and well mannered. They were able to explain everything that was going to happen to me during the test. This made for a fun experience for myself and have no doubt I’ll revisit when the time is right for me.”
