The Marjon Sport Federation are the teams behind the teams. We oversee all student sport activity at Marjon from recreational to performance. We provide the tools & support for all students to have a great experience with sport while studying at university.
University sport is a unique opportunity for an unparalleled level of support and competition in a young athlete’s journey. Whether it’s making a new social group or pursuing a professional sporting career alongside academic studies, we’re here to support you.
The day-to-day running of the MSF falls under the remit of the Plymouth Marjon Sport Federation Executive Committee (which includes student representatives). The committee is responsible for developing and implementing policies and overseeing discipline across the sports teams.

Sports clubs
All student sports fall under the Marjon Sport Federation – from BUCS to local leagues, teams play across predominately the South West with some more national structures.
Most BUCS sports take place on a Wednesday, but that doesn't mean that's all that goes on... from futsal and volleyball at the weekend to netball in the week, there's a whole array of sports to get involved with.
Find out more information about BUCS & our clubs below – BUCS | Plymouth Marjon University
Varsity is the sporting event of the year where Marjon goes head to head with Plymouth University in an array of different sports whilst raising money for each institution's chosen charities.
With sport taking place across the city, it's the end of season celebration the students all look forward to, competing or spectating!
VarsityThis is a programme of sport played within the university and available to all students at Plymouth Marjon University. It’s a great way to get involved in physical activity, meet new people and play new sports. It is designed to promote participation, develop friendships and have fun. Participants do not need to have ever played before – anyone is welcome to join in.
