Claire is responsible for leading the Marjon community, accountable to the Board of Directors for all aspects of the executive and academic leadership of the University. She works with students, staff, board directors and partners, shaping the future together and focused on delivering place-based opportunity in line with the University’s Vision, Mission and Values.

Chief Strategy and Performance Officer

Ann is responsible for leading strategy, transformation, planning and performance insights. She ensures that change programmes are appropriately sequenced and aligned across the strategic portfolio, oversees the Marjon brand, and ensures that digital, data and technology requirements are integrated into institutional priorities.

Karl Smith

Chief Finance and Operating Officer

Karl leads University operations, with oversight of financial sustainability, operational performance, commercial activity, workforce and risk. He safeguards resource affordability and capacity in order to secure operational readiness for change, ensuring institutional resilience, business compliance, and value for money.

Chief Academic Officer

Simon has leadership responsibility for academic strategy, quality, standards, curriculum, research and knowledge exchange, and student success. He ensures academic requirements, risks and opportunities shape strategic and transformation decisions for all aspects of Marjon’s provision, including with academic partners across the UK and globally.

On the record

Minutes of ELT are circulated to the Board of Governors regularly and key updates are also made available to staff.

Decisions made will be reported to relevant committees as appropriate and information communicated widely by relevant ELT members.
