Marjon Academic nominated for illustrious Forward Ladies award

Associate Professor Dr. Emily Beaumont has been nominated for a prestigious Forward Ladies award in the Public Sector/ Not for Profit category in London and the South.

The awards aim to celebrate female talent in the UK across a range of sectors and Dr. Beaumont, the Director of the Marjon Business School, has been recognised for her achievements including the successful launch of Marjon Business School.

Dr. Beaumont told us: “It’s great to be recognised alongside pioneering women of London and the South for the work I’ve done at Plymouth Marjon University. We’ve established a brand new business school at Marjon which is flourishing with a range of academic programmes open to students and the local business community. I’m really pleased to be representing Plymouth Marjon University on the national stage with this award nomination.”

Forward Ladies Managing Director, Griselda Stewart, said she was looking forward to the 9th edition of the awards and showcasing the ongoing impact of women in business.

Griselda said: “The FL National Awards & Summit will celebrate exceptional women and the contribution they make to the UK economy. Leaders, men and women will be brought together to discuss the transformative role that companies can play to support gender equality and the role a diverse work force will play in advancing UK competitiveness. The award winners will be announced on 28th September at an exclusive lunch at the Hilton London, Tower Bridge.
