Plymouth Marjon University has been ranked in England’s top 10 universities in three key areas in the prestigious Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024 rankings. These results follow a continuing wave of success for the University across multiple league tables.

In the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024, Plymouth Marjon University has achieved remarkable rankings that reflect its dedication to excellence, securing a place in the top 5 universities in England for Teaching Quality and Social Inclusion, underscoring the University’s commitment to first-class education and creating an inclusive and diverse campus community.

Plymouth Marjon also achieved the top 4 spot in the UK for supporting disabled students, and came in England's top 10 for Student Experience, further showcasing its dedication to providing a positive and enriching educational experience.

These exceptional rankings reaffirm Plymouth Marjon's status as a leading institution in the higher education landscape. The guide was prepared using the Office for Student's National Student Survey which is renowned for its comprehensive evaluation of universities across the UK.

Helen Davies, editor of The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide, stated,

“The higher education landscape has never been tougher. It is more competitive to get a place at many of our top institutions.

“It means any prospective student, parent or carer needs to think hard about whether university is the right choice, and then where to study and what subject. It’s where this guide — our 30th edition — is here to help.

“We are here to champion the ambitious work of our first-class universities, and the aspirations of any student of any age who wants to keep on learning.”

Professor Claire Taylor, Vice-Chancellor of Plymouth Marjon University said:

“These results affirm the University's commitment to providing an exceptional education and a supportive learning environment for students. This recognition underscores the institution's strong commitment to delivering high-quality education that empowers students for success.”

Today’s results further add to a run of success and national recognition in other leading university guides. The Daily Mail's University Guide and The Guardian University Guide placed Marjon among the UK’s top 10 universities in multiple categories, while the University was also ranked no. 1 in the UK for Assessment in the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey 2023, and secured the no. 2 spot in England for Student Satisfaction in the WhatUni Student Choice Awards 2023, solidifying its reputation as a top-tier institution dedicated to empowering students for success.

In this year’s National Student Survey, published in September 2023, Plymouth Marjon outperformed the vast majority of HE institutions across the country. The University was found to be in the UK’s top 2 for “To what extent are students’ opinions about the course valued by staff?”.
