Released: 15.06.22

No.1 in England for student satisfaction

Plymouth Marjon University has been ranked the top university in England for student satisfaction in the Complete University Guide 2023. The accolade improves even further last year’s ranking, in which Marjon was rated third in England.

Marjon beat all universities in England and all of the prestigious Russell Group Universities on the Student Satisfaction measure.

In the last year, Marjon has also ranked top in England across two other accolades: top in England for Teaching Quality in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2022, and top in England for Learning Community in the National Student Survey 2021.

Marjon has also been ranked in the Top 5 in England by several league tables across multiple accolades including Student Life, Student Voice, response to the pandemic, social inclusion, postgraduate student satisfaction and University of the Year.

The Complete University Guide describes Plymouth Marjon University: “The university offers small class sizes. Academics will quickly know students’ names, strengths and dreams, and students get to know all their classmates.”

Professor Rob Warner, Vice-Chancellor of Plymouth Marjon University, said:

“Everything we do at Marjon is focused on the success of our students. We are delighted that these rankings reflect how much our students value being a member of the close-knit Marjon community, and the continuous dedication of staff.”

Simon Emmett, Chief Executive Officer of IDP Connect which runs the Complete University Guide, said:

“The independence of the Complete University Guide remains a critical part of our organisation. The tables’ independence from our other operations ensures that students, parents, and advisors can trust the results and make informed choices based on them.”

Marjon received further good news around its research development last month, when 89% of its research was recognised as internationally significant in the Research Excellence Framework.

The next Open Day at Marjon runs on 24 and 25 June, for students looking to join Marjon this September or looking ahead to 2023.
