Marjon student lands roles in Doc Martin and Poldark

Released: 05.10.17

Chloe Carrubba, 20, from Liskeard, Cornwall is currently appearing in ITV’s Doc Martin. She plays one of the ‘Bevy Girls’ and her character is seen winding up Doc Martin and working in the local nursery.

Chloe also recently featured in series 3 of Poldark as a member of Sam Carne’s Methodist flock. She has previously appeared in series 1 and 2 of Poldark as an extra before getting spotted by the production company to sing in series 3 alongside the main characters.

Chloe, a year three acting student at Plymouth Marjon University, said: “It has been an incredible experience and allowed me to use both my specialisms in acting and singing at a professional level.  Marjon have been so supportive throughout and allowed me the time I have needed for filming away”. The acting course at Marjon is a three years BA (Hons) course and scored 100% student satisfaction in 2016 and 2017 (NSS, 2016 and 2017).

Since being at Marjon Chloe has built up an impressive portfolio and acting credits including roles in Broadchurch, The Bad Education Movie and Sky 1’s Delicious. This summer you may have seen Chloe in Twelfth Night at the Barbican Theatre or singing or playing guitar and singing at gigs across the South West.
