Role Summary

 

I am a speech and language therapist with a clinical background in paediatric speech, language and communication disorders.  I lead on the bioscience and child development modules and have teaching commitments across other modules on the SLT course and Speech and Language Sciences Degree course.

My particular interest is in developing practice education and I have the role of Practice Placement Development Lead with specific responsibility for building capacity and maintaining and developing the quality of placement provision.

  • The use and effectiveness of feedback on clinical placement
  • The development of practice educator competencies
  • The development of students’ clinical decision making skills

Other Interests

 

I live on the edge of Dartmoor and close enough to the sea to make the most of regular walking and swimming opportunities.
