Marjon ranked No.1 in the UK for first-generation students

Plymouth Marjon University has been named the UK's top university for first-generation students in the Daily Mail University Guide 2027, recognising its commitment to widening participation, social mobility and transforming lives through education.

More than three quarters of Marjon students are the first in their immediate family to attend university, reflecting the University's commitment to widening participation and creating opportunities for people from all backgrounds.

The recognition highlights Marjon's personalised approach to higher education, where students are known by name and benefit from strong academic, wellbeing and career support throughout their studies. It also recognises the University's success in helping students stay on track and achieve positive academic outcomes.
