Role Summary

Ben is a Lecturer in Physiotherapy within the Health and Wellbeing Hub at the University of Marjon.
He has a broad, clinical background having worked across the NHS, private practice, and elite sport. He is currently completing his PhD in Medical Studies at the University of Exeter, where his research focuses on translational rehabilitation for people living with chronic conditions.
Ben’s academic and professional interests centre on advancing physiotherapy practice and education. His teaching philosophy is to bridge underpinning theoretical knowledge with evidence-based practice and real-world application. In doing so, he aims to ensure that University of Marjon physiotherapy students have the skills, confidence, and critical awareness required to deliver meaningful, patient-centred care.
