Elaine teaches and is module lead for undergraduate and postgraduate modules across a range of business and management programmes at Marjon. Her teaching interests include marketing and digital marketing, digital research methods, business environment, leadership, people management and entrepreneurship. 

She also has experience of teaching project management, logistics, supply chain management and management information systems. Her experience of teaching across both face-to-face and online environments enables her to draw on a range of approaches to support student learning and engagement. 

Elaine’s research interests reflect her interdisciplinary background in business, management, education and technology. Her current research focuses particularly on the use and impact of emerging technologies within education and business, including artificial intelligence. 

Elaine is interested in both the potential of new technologies and the challenges associated with their use. Her research explores how technology is used in practice and the implications this can have for organisations, educators and learners. She is particularly interested in the relationship between technology, learning and human behaviour, as well as the future of work, education and leisure. 

Elaine has an interest in collaborative and applied research and has experience of working on projects involving higher education, technology and business. She has published in academic journals and contributed to books and conferences in areas including educational technology, digital learning, artificial intelligence, supply chain management and business.
