  • Excellence in teaching and learning in compulsory education system – thirteen years of experience teaching 11- 18 age range in a range of comprehensive schools.
  • Excellence in teaching and learning in Higher Education - 12 years working in two higher education institutions teaching on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
  • Outstanding contribution to consultancy and external body work - work for local authorities managing and delivering high quality continued professional development for secondary school staff, advising on curriculum development for schools, advising Higher Education on development of the 14-19 qualifications, external examining for higher education undergraduate degree programmes. 

My approach to high quality teaching and learning:

• Underpinning philosophy of inclusive education showing strong professional values that respect individual learners and diverse learning communities.
• High quality of the design and planning of learning activities that are informed by my own and others research in the field.
