Lucy Pengelly

As the Executive Director of People & Culture I am key member of the University’s Executive Leadership Team, working collectively to deliver the University Strategy.

I lead the People & Culture Department, ensuring it is fit for purpose, provides an excellent, proactive, efficient service to stakeholders across all aspects of the People and Culture agenda. 

As the most senior lead for the People agenda, I aim to role-model the University values and drive a culture of inclusion through a range of initiatives and in all the practices of the People agenda.

I’ve worked at the University for a several years and have extensive experience as a people professional within Higher Education.  Prior to working in Higher Education, I gained experience in Retail and Government departments.

I enjoy supporting my team to develop, and externally I have taken on various mentoring roles to support individuals in gaining successful careers as a people professionals.
