/12 Getting tested for #COVID_19 is to be made easier for residents and students in the north of the city with the opening of a new local test centre at Plymouth Marjon University. https://t.co/i1PKFtTPVl
/12 The centre, which is being sponsored by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and operated by Serco, will operate in addition to the regional drive-through test centre at the former Seaton Barracks site, near The Range, and the local
/12 It will make it easier for anyone living in the area to get tested; especially those who do not have a car and so cannot access the Seaton Barracks site or for whom walking to the city centre is difficult.
/12 Those being tested will be told to wash their hands before leaving home, wear a face covering on their journey to and from the centre, not to stop anywhere on the way, and not use public transport or taxis.
/12 Test centre operators and visitors going for a test at the site will not be using any of the Marjon buildings or facilities and will be asked not to walk through campus. Students who have symptoms can get a test without having to travel
/12 Testing is available only for those with COVID-19 symptoms – a high temperature, a new, continuous cough, or a loss or change to sense of smell or taste. Anyone with one or more of these symptoms should book a test at https://t.co/ccf7v6TbxL
