Speech & Language Therapy Career Day

Wednesday 13th October 09:30 – 13:00 at Plymouth Marjon University

This unique event offers the opportunity to discover more about the Speech and Language Therapist’s (SLT’s) role. Speech and language therapists (SLTs) provide life-improving treatment, support and care for a range of client groups of all ages, such as children with speech and language delay, adults who have had strokes and people with learning difficulties. You will hear personal stories from SLTs working in the NHS, and other settings and you will meet students currently studying SLT at the University. Marjon offers a 3 year BSc Speech & Language Therapy course which leads to a professional qualification as a SLT.

We welcome applicants studying Access to Higher Education courses and foundation/first degrees. If you are thinking of applying for an SLT course but have had difficulty securing experience ‘shadowing’ an SLT to find out more about the profession, then this day is for you!
