Marjon Arts Centre is the cultural hub of North Plymouth. It is home to The Actor’s Wheel theatre company and weekly drama workshops for children and welcomes exhibitions many shows from leading stand-up comedians.

From dramatic productions to stand up comedy, Marjon Arts Centre is the host of a vast variety of entertainment. And, you can also widen your knowledge at one of our public lectures and masterclasses.

Quad Theatre

The Quad Theatre is a versatile space that accommodates intimate audiences on the fixed seating or reaches a capacity of 470. The theatre is suitable for a range of theatrical performances including musicals, dance and comedy. It is also an ideal space for workshops, training and rehearsals.

The Tempest Studio offers a black box space for both performances and rehearsals of multiple disciplines of work. The space can hold approximately 100 audience members but has the flexibility to accommodate many different set ups such as being in the round or traverse. Perfect for intimate productions and emerging work. As well as theatre, The Tempest Studio can lend itself to intimate music gigs, such as jazz and folk.  

 

Arts cafe

We offer a range of food and drink for your events from our Arts Café Bar.

If you are interested in hosting something for fellow film-lovers, you can experience films or sports matches in style in our 170-seat cinema room, with a custom lighting and sound set up for the big screen.

Fitness event on campus

Any space on campus has the potential to become a bespoke arts space. Whether you want to organise a pop-up performance or something completely different, we will do our best to find a suitable space!

As well as space we can also offer technical, marketing and front of house services. We can create a package tailored to your requirements, with or without catering, and will always try to accommodate your requests.
